El trekking a la Laguna Churup es una de las caminatas más accesibles y espectaculares desde Huaraz, ideal para quienes buscan aclimatarse o simplemente disfrutar de paisajes de alta montaña. Ubicada a más de 4,450 m s.n.m., esta laguna de origen glaciar impresiona por su color turquesa intenso y su entorno de picos nevados. A lo largo del camino, los visitantes atraviesan zonas rocosas, pequeños bosques y tramos desafiantes, con vistas inmejorables de la Cordillera Blanca. Esta ruta es perfecta para los amantes de la aventura, la fotografía y la naturaleza pura.

ITINERARIO

Itinerario Detallado: Full Day Trekking a la Laguna Churup

📍Inicio en Huaraz – Altitud: 3,050 m s.n.m.

Recojo del hotel entre las 7:30 y 8:00 a.m.
Salida en transporte turístico rumbo al pueblo de Pitec (a 3,850 m s.n.m.) – Duración del trayecto: 1 hora aprox.
Durante el recorrido, se atraviesan campos andinos, comunidades quechuas y se aprecian vistas del nevado Churup.

🥾 Inicio del trekking – Pitec a Laguna Churup

Inicio de la caminata: 9:00 a.m. aprox.
Duración: 2 a 2.5 horas en ascenso.
Altitud final: 4,450 m s.n.m.
Tipo de camino: sendero empinado, escalinatas naturales, y una pequeña trepada con cuerda fija (se requiere buen equilibrio y precaución).

¿Cuál es el nivel de dificultad del trekking a la Laguna Churup?
Es de nivel intermedio, con tramos empinados y una corta sección de trepada con cuerda fija. No se recomienda para personas con vértigo o poca experiencia en montaña.

¿Se necesita experiencia previa en trekking?
No es obligatoria, pero sí es recomendable estar en buena condición física. Es ideal como caminata de aclimatación si planeas hacer rutas más exigentes en la Cordillera Blanca.

¿En qué meses es mejor hacer esta caminata?
La mejor época es entre mayo y septiembre, durante la temporada seca, cuando hay menor probabilidad de lluvias y el cielo está despejado.

¿Es necesario contratar un guía?
Si bien es posible hacerlo por cuenta propia, se recomienda contratar guía, especialmente por la seguridad en el tramo con cuerdas y para evitar desvíos en la ruta.

¿Se puede hacer con niños?
Solo si están acostumbrados a caminar largas distancias y a la altitud. No se recomienda para menores de 10 años.
