ITINERARY

Sacred Valley Cusco Tour Itinerary

7:00 a.m. – Pickup from your hotel (Cusco) and departure to the Sacred Valley

  • Your experience begins with punctual pickup from your accommodation in Cusco. Our exclusive, air-conditioned tourist transportation with personalized service will take you to the majestic Sacred Valley, passing through breathtaking high-altitude landscapes, eternal snow-capped mountains, and small Andean communities.

8:00 a.m. – Taray Viewpoint: The Entrance to the Valley

Before entering the heart of the valley, we will stop at the Taray natural viewpoint. From here, you will have a spectacular panoramic view of the Sacred Valley, with its green terraces and the meandering Vilcanota River. It is the ideal place to contextualize what this sacred agricultural area was like for the Incas and take memorable photographs.

8:30 a.m. – Pisac Archaeological Complex

We explore the ruins of Pisac, one of the most important ceremonial centers of the Inca period. You will visit agricultural terraces in perfect harmony with the mountains, ceremonial enclosures, temples, and an ancient cemetery carved into the rock. All guided by a specialist who will share historical information, symbolism, and architectural details.

10:30 a.m. – Pisac Market: Art and Living Tradition

We descend to the traditional village of Pisac, where its famous artisan market offers a vibrant display of living culture. Here you can appreciate (and purchase) handmade textiles, silver jewelry, polychrome ceramics, and unique ritual objects made by local families.

12:30 p.m. – Buffet Lunch in Urubamba

We head to Urubamba, the agricultural heart of the valley, to enjoy a gourmet buffet lunch in a country restaurant surrounded by nature. The menu fuses native ingredients such as quinoa, corn, native potatoes, and trout with modern Peruvian cooking techniques. Vegetarian and vegan options are available.

2:00 p.m. – Ollantaytambo Archaeological Site

Ollantaytambo is much more than a fortress: it is a living city with over 500 years of uninterrupted history. You will explore its imposing terraces, temples of perfectly carved cyclopean blocks, and an ancient hydraulic system that still functions. You will learn about the Temple of the Sun, the Staircase of the Ten Niches, and the legend of General Ollanta.

4:00 p.m. – Chinchero: History, Textiles, and the Andean Worldview

On the way back, we will visit Chinchero, a charming town located at 3,700 meters above sea level. We will visit a textile interpretation center where local women preserve traditional weaving techniques using alpaca fibers and natural dyes. Here you will also find a colonial church built on an ancient Inca palace and a small archaeological site.

7:00 p.m. – Return to Cusco and transfer to your hotel.

We conclude this unique experience by returning to Cusco, after touring some of the most impressive and energetic places in the Andean world. Our team will drop you off at your hotel with an unforgettable memory and a vivid connection to the history of the great Inca empire.

An unforgettable experience in Salkantay with Marvelosu Peru I did the Salkantay trek with Marvelosu Peru, and the experience exceeded all my expectations. From day one, the team demonstrated admirable professionalism: punctual, organized, and always attentive to our needs. Our guide was excellent; he knew every detail of the trail, enthusiastically explained the history and culture, and was also concerned about everyone's pace and well-being.The food throughout the trek was surprisingly good, varied, and plentiful, something truly appreciated on a demanding hike like Salkantay. The accommodations and campsites were very well prepared, clean, and comfortable. The scenery is simply spectacular: turquoise lagoons, breathtaking mountains, and a complete connection with nature. Thanks to Marvelosu Peru, I was able to enjoy the trek safely and without worries.I wholeheartedly recommend this agency to anyone who wants to experience Salkantay in an authentic, well-organized, and expertly guided way. An experience I will never forget!

Salkantay and Machupicchu I booked my tour to Salkantay 4 months ago and it was a fantastic experience. From the organization everything was excellent. I arrived in Cusco, Peru, a day before the tour, and that same day we were given a brief explanation about how the adventure would unfold. The next day we were picked up promptly and visited the beautiful lagoon of Humantay. The food was super delicious, thanks to our chef Erik, quite a chef! The next morning, we woke up early and our guide was already ready to start the walk to Salkantay. The route was a little exhausting, but it was totally worth it for the scenery: stunning nature, unique flora and fauna. Finally, we arrived in Aguas Calientes to finish our visit with the impressive Machu Picchu. An unforgettable experience, 100% recommended

Better than we expected! A very different region from the others, very interesting to listen to and learn about the local history, are many pools that are there since the pre-Inca period, more than 3,000, and the most magical is that it keeps the income of hundreds of families for years and years.
